A wonderful trip!
Bogi was a great guide, driver and photographer. Being from the Faroes he was very knowledgeable about the Islands and took us to great photography destinations and helped us improve our photography skills.

I did a photography workshop with Bogi and Richard Watson, and it exceeded every expectation. To adapt to the chaotic, fast-changing weather of the Faroes, you need incredibly flexible logistics and the ability to pivot instantly. Bogi’s deep local knowledge and photography expertise made that possible—he’s climbed every mountain in the Faroes, always with a camera in hand, and it truly shows.
A special shout-out to Hotel Føroyar, a wonderfully comfortable place to collapse after a day of shooting in high winds, hail, or whatever else the islands decide to throw at you. And to Anya—Bogi’s wife—who joined us on a few evenings and generously shared slices of Faroese culture, from inviting us out to hear local live music to telling me about Faroese knitting patterns.
Thank you, Bogi, for answering all of my questions about everything from how the tunnels were funded, to salmon farming, to photography itself. I especially appreciated the hands-on composition feedback in the field. I hope to be back someday!

I have recently been on a photography tour to the Faroes with Bogi Olsen and Richard Watson, man what an incredible and beautiful archipelago and all made more incredible by Bogi and his local knowledge and connections. This was my fourth attempt to visit and due to covid was put on hold, I am glad I visited.
I can highly recommend visiting and joining Bogi on one of his tours. Bogi knows the Faroes inside out and with deep knowledge and connections he made things happen, visiting places that hardly any other tours attempt. His ethos is photography first — where required we were out from dawn to dusk not to miss any golden opportunity. Hotel and food were first class. Bogi imparts knowledge and experience and ensures that you reach your location safely and manage to bag that photo.
I will definitely return to the Faroes and join Bogi on a spring tour, as I was 100% comfortable with his experience, knowledge and above all his friendship that I shall treasure.

Having just returned from the Faroe Islands, I have to praise the efforts of Bogi Olsen Photography in organising a very successful trip. Bogi’s local knowledge ensured great locations, smooth logistics and excellent photography in sometimes difficult weather conditions. He was always on hand to offer suggestions, advice and instruction if needed to improve the shot — and all in a friendly and approachable manner.
Highly recommended for any photographer contemplating a visit to the Faroes.

I recently joined Bogi’s photography workshop in the Faroe Islands, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. His deep knowledge and genuine passion for the islands are apparent in everything he does — he doesn’t just take you to the iconic spots, he also introduces you to hidden gems that only a true local would know about.
From the moment I arrived, Bogi made me feel incredibly welcome. His friendly personality, patience, and enthusiasm created a relaxed atmosphere that made the whole trip both fun and adventurous. Whether we were chasing dramatic light, hiking to lesser-known viewpoints, or learning new photography techniques, he always made sure everyone felt included and inspired.

As soon as I met Bogi I knew I wanted to partner with him on a Faroe Islands photography tour. His passion for his native islands is infectious, and his knowledge of the landscape, weather patterns and endless photo opportunities is incredible.
I spent 10 days exploring the Faroes with Bogi in October 2024, and it was inspiring to see how deeply he knows these islands. Not only did we visit the iconic spots, but also a ton of hidden gems that only a local photographer would know. This kind of insight is invaluable on a trip like this.
Bogi is not only a great photographer with tons of technical know-how, but also charismatic and brilliant with people. I can’t wait for our joint workshop in November 2025. I have recently returned from a photography workshop in the Faroes and I wanted to mention how great it was. The workshop was led by Bogi Olsen a native of the Faroe islands. Bogi was everything you would hope to get in a person leading a photography trip. He was always on hand to offer help and advice on the best locations, how to set up your camera, ( if you needed it) and he did all this with a smile on his face the whole time. Naturally his knowledge of the Faroes greatly enhanced our experiance of these islands and made travel a pleasure and not a chore. We all had a wonderful holiday, and I would have no reservations in reccomending Bogi Olsen to anyone thinking of visiting the Faroes islands on a photography trip. If you go with Bogi, you will visit all the best locations at the best times, and have a great time doing it. You will also make a good friend in the process and come away with some great images and memories.
