Planning a photography trip to the Faroe Islands can feel a bit confusing at first. There are a handful of tours, workshops, different seasons, different group sizes, and lots of companies flying in from around the world.

To make things easier, I’ve put together a simple overview of recognized photo tours running in the Faroes in 2026 — including my own.

This isn’t a “who’s best” bragging kind of thing. It’s just a clear look at the options so you can choose what fits you.

1. Faroe Islands Photography Tour – 13–20 April 2026

Guide: Bogi Olsen (native Faroese)
Group size: Max 5
Season: Spring

April is a lovely month here. Long days, softer weather, and quieter locations. We get everything from golden evenings to dramatic storms – often in the same afternoon. Because the group is small, we move at a relaxed pace and make decisions based on the weather and light.

Perfect if you enjoy space to shoot, local knowledge, and a calm atmosphere.

2. Faroe Islands Autumn Photo Tour – 12–19 October 2026

Guides: Bogi Olsen & Richard Watson
Group size: Max 10
Season: Autumn

October is the opposite mood – powerful waves, deep colours, and fast-changing weather. It’s a brilliant time for dramatic landscapes. Having two guides means we can split up when needed, help individuals more, and keep the group running smoothly.

A great choice if you like energy, teamwork, and autumn weather that keeps you on your toes.

Other Faroe Islands Photography Tours in 2026

Here are some other tours and workshops that also run photography trips in the Faroe Islands. I’ve separated native locals, resident locals and foreign operators, so you can see who has permanent roots here and who flies in for a tour.

This is not a full master list – that will live on a separate “Full Comparison Table” page – but it gives you a quick sense of the landscape.
